Every AppleTV on SLKF's campus is setup with a password to use with AirPlay.  Although most passwords are meant to be kept a secret, the AppleTV password to use AirPlay is only in place so that users on campus don't accidentally connect to an AppleTV by accident.  The password for every AppleTV is the room's number.  (Ex. The Computer Lab is in room 206.  That means the AirPlay password for the AppleTV in the Computer Lab is: 206.)  Read the 2 scenarios below to see why things are setup in this way.

SCENARIO 1 (without a password):  A PreK3 teacher is busy showing an activity on their AppleTV to their class. At the same time, a Middle School class is preparing to show a PowerPoint presentation as part of their class in the Computer Lab.  Because the students in the Computer Lab use AirPlay to show their presentation to the rest of the class, a student begins to activate AirPlay for the Computer Lab but instead accidentally clicks on the PreK3 classroom AppleTV.  Suddenly, the students in PreK3 are now seeing this Middle School student's presentation while the students in the Computer Lab are wondering why it's not showing up on the AppleTV in the Computer Lab.  This situation, unfortunately, disrupts the PreK3 class leaving the teacher wondering "What's going on?"  "What happened???"  At the same time, the Middle School student is saying "Why is my presentation not showing up like it's supposed to do?  After a little while (finally noticing they selected the wrong AppleTV), they select the correct one and the presentation begins.  The Middle School student, not realizing the disruption they made to the PreK3 class, AND the delay they caused by not selecting the correct device to begin with, TWO classes were inconvenienced.

SCENARIO 2 (with a password):  A PreK3 teacher is busy showing an activity on their AppleTV to their class. Because a password is needed to activate the AirPlay for any AppleTV, the student types in the password needed for the Computer Lab.  IT DIDN'T WORK??  "Why?", the student asks?  After trying a couple of more times, they quickly realize that they have selected the wrong AppleTV.  The Middle School student selects the correct AppleTV this time and types in the correct password for the Computer Lab's AppleTV.  The presentation shows up on the Computer Lab's screen and the presentation begins.....and the PreK3 teacher never knew there was a problem at all and was never interrupted.
