Every AppleTV on SLKF's campus uses the standard Apple Remote to control the device.  However, you can also use your iOS device (iPad, iPhone, iPod Touch) to also control the AppleTV.  You can do this in one of two ways.  (To use either option, you MUST have the "Remote" app (found in the App store) in order to control the AppleTV.  These directions will assume you've already downloaded and installed the Remote App AND are on the SLKF wireless network.)

OPTION 1 (to see only the AppleTV you need to control on your iOS device):  Launch the Remote App on your iOS device.  Tap "Settings" in the top left corner.  Tap the link "Add an iTunes Library".  (Your iOS device will show a 4 digit number.)  To add an AppleTV, go to your AppleTV and choose Settings from the main menu ,then choose General > Remotes > Remote App.  Chose "the name of your iOS device" then enter the 4 digit number shown.  You will now be able to see ONLY THAT AppleTV your have setup with your iOS device.  You will need to repeat the steps for any other AppleTVs on campus you would like to have on your iOS device.

OPTION 2 (see every AppleTV on campus on your iOS device - using HomeSharing):  Launch the Remote App on your iOS device. Tap "Settings" in the top left corner.  Activate Home Sharing.  (Please see Eric McCrary for the Home Sharing username and password.) Once that information has been entered, you will see every AppleTV on SLKF's campus in addition to the main iTunes library found on the SLKF Server.
