Have you've ever received a message like this when opening Google Chrome?

Your profile cannot be used because it is from a newer version of Google Chrome.

Some features may be unavailable. Please specify a different profile directory or use a newer version of Chrome."

You know it wasn't there yesterday and you use Chrome for all your browsing. However, it happens EVERY time you start Chrome. What's up?

The problem lies in 2 files deep within the computer.  These 2 files need to be deleted.

Close Chrome/Chromium

Go here:

On Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\Your User Name\Local Settings\Application Data\Google\Chrome\User Data\
On Windows Vista, 7 or 8: C:\Users\Your User Name\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\
On Mac OS X: ~/Library/Application Support/Google/Chrome/
On Linux: ~/.config/google-chrome/

Delete these two files:
  Web Data
  Web Data-journal

Start Chrome/Chromium.

This SHOULD resolve the issue.
